Providing Expert Care for Families in the Collegeville and Upper Providence Community for Over 25 Years!

Caring for an aging parent while managing a career and family responsibilities is a significant challenge for many families living in the Collegeville and Oaks areas. We receive many calls from adult children seeking additional support for their aging parents.

When signs of decline appear, like sudden falls or general frailty or even the early stages of dementia, families need more than just “standard” help – they need an experienced clinical partner they can trust.

Nurse Owned & Family Operated

Family Caregivers Network is a local, nurse-owned homecare agency serving the Upper Providence community. Unlike large, national franchises, we are a family-operated organization led by our founder, Gerry Fioriglio, RN, CDP, BS.

With over 40 years of experience in geriatrics, Gerry has established the Family Caregivers Network on the principle that senior care must be rooted in clinical expertise and genuine compassion.

We focus on the “human side” of caregiving, ensuring that our clients in the 19426 and 19456 zip codes receive personalized attention that goes far beyond basic supervision.

A Note From Our Team

We know this isn’t an easy call to make. Most people wait until there’s a crisis or they are completely exhausted.

Why Families in Collegeville Trust Us

We’ve helped many seniors in the Upper Providence area stay right where they want to be: at home.

  • Trained Dementia & Alzheimer’s Specialists: If your parent is dealing with memory loss, “standard” care doesn’t cut it. We have specialized programs for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Care that actually engage the brain, not just “watch” the person.

  • Registered Nurse Oversight: We don’t just send a caregiver and hope for the best. Our RN Care Managers help you navigate the medical maze, including hospital discharges, medication management, and long-term planning.

  • Expert Care and Support: We know it’s usually the adult children calling us. Our goal is to give you your life back, knowing your parent is safe and cared for by someone who actually wants to be there.

Depending on your needs, we have home care and personal aides who are trained to offer various services, including

  • Help with transitioning home after hospitalization
  • Companionship and occasional visits for daily activities
  • 24-hour care when needed
  • Personal care assistance and homecare
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Medication reminders and monitoring
  • Transportation and accompaniment

Our home care aides provide 24-hour support, with live-in caregivers offering 16 hours of care and 8 hours of sleep time. Families gain peace of mind knowing someone is always present.

We can also provide specialized services such as exercise assistance, like taking a walk on the Perkiomen Trail, or household support, like helping with shopping for groceries or running errands at places like the Providence Town Center.

We help provide respite care for families that just need a well-deserved break or added support.

Our Registered Nurse Care Managers can assess your loved one’s needs at admission, create a personalized care plan, and oversee care through calls and visits.

They update the plan as needed, coordinate with caregivers, and offer guidance and resources to support families.

In-home Dementia Care

Navigating Alzheimer’s is exhausting. It’s a long journey, and you shouldn’t do it alone. In Upper Providence and the surrounding Montgomery County area, the demand for specialized dementia care is growing fast.

Our “Memory Matters” Program is different. Our specialists are certified by the Alzheimer’s Association. We don’t just sit there – we engage.

  • Brain Games & Activities: Tailored to what they used to love doing.

  • Mood Improvement: We focus on decreasing “sundowning” and negative behaviors through engagement.

  • Safety Supervision: Total peace of mind so they don’t wander or get hurt.

A Registered Nurse and Activities Coordinator also collaborates to ensure these activities are effective and aligned with the care plan.

In-home Parkinson’s Support Program

Our Parkinson’s Program helps individuals manage Parkinson’s disease by focusing on memory, movement, and medications.

We collaborate with your doctor and outpatient therapist to create a personalized plan that helps patients stay engaged in exercises and activities to reduce hospitalizations and relapses.
